The WiSTEM Student Leadership Ecosystem supports student leaders across WiSTEM programs with leadership training and professional skills advancement opportunities, community-creating events, role model and mentor engagement, and career exploration. WiSTEM student leader cohorts include:

• Outreach Ambassadors
• STEM Girl Day Coordinators
• High School Camp Counselors
• Living Learning Community (LLC) Peer Coaches
• Externship Peer Coaches

• Program Assistants

Get Involved

How can you get involved with the Student Leadership Ecosystem? Watch for WiSTEM Canvas Community announcements when applications or openings are available.

• Any STEM student can register to participate as an Outreach Ambassador.
• Living Learning Community (LLC) Peer Coaches and Externship Peer Coaches are recruited from past participants in those respective programs.
• Outreach Ambassadors have priority for High School Camp Counselor and STEM Girl Day Coordinator positions.

When leadership roles cannot be filled by past participants or Outreach Ambassadors, they will be announced on the WiSTEM Canvas Community.
